Celebrate Easter Sunday in St. Augustine FL
Just some ideas!
Start the day with the sunrise service on the beach with the Church at Vilano and Christian Communion of St. Augustine/Vilano as it hosts the 14th Annual Vilano Beach Easter Sunrise Service. Beginning at 6:45 a.m., this 45-minute worship service will include songs, scripture readings, a brief message, and interpretive dance. Guest singers include Kevin Beckam, Josiah French, Anastasia Spiecker, Lauren Veihdeffer, and Jamilia Wells. Kjarstie Corry will dance to “In Christ Alone” by Keith and Kristyn Getty. The service will be a blend of traditional music and contemporary music with the message of living life with joy and hope found through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who conquered death on a Roman cross. Experienced teams will help park cars and protect the sand dunes, saving some space for those with handicaps. The tide will be low. Free parking will also be available on the street and at Publix, and restrooms are at the beach pavilion. Attendees may want to bring chairs, blankets, sunglasses, cameras and friends. Ocean baptism will follow. CLICK HERE to see photos of last year’s service. There also is an outdoor mass at 7 and 10 am at the Rustic Altar at Mission Nombre de Dios (27 Ocean Avenue).
