d’oeuvres.
Social hour festivities will include a story-telling
session with a member of the Higginbothom family. Papa
Higginbothom was a nare-do-well grave digger of
questionable practices; now the rest of the family must
earn their way “upstairs” by escorting guests around
town, introducing them to their favorite haunts and
telling their favorite ghost stories and legends. You
will hear stories not heard on any of the tours and also
get the inside scoop on Westcott’s history.
Later, on the walking ghost tour, you will enter the
Spanish Military Hospital Museum, a certified haunted
building, where the “Doctor” is always in. You will
stroll the darkened streets, hearing ghost stories of
local residents long deceased, and you will visit 2
cemeteries. Your adventure will conclude in the Old Drug
Store where you will learn of Victorian burial customs,
what lies under the floorboards, and why the rope
swings! This is the only ghost tour in Saint Augustine
that takes you into two haunted buildings!

Westcott House at 6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays only,
