Westcott House Bed and Breakfast Inn is a Green Inn
We continually striving to improve our practices in
order to do our part to help protect the environment.
These are a few of the efforts we make:
We use environmentally friendly laundry detergents, and
other cleaners to help save mother earth and to protect our guests
and staff from the presence of chemicals in our guest and common
rooms.
We follow the practice of allowing our guests to choose to
reuse towels and sheets while they stay with us.
We recycle bottles, cans, and newspapers, and prepare and serve fresh, filtered ice water and iced tea, and
eliminating much can and plastic bottle land-fill waste.
We are purchasing bamboo flooring and renovating with other
products that are friendly to the planet.
We purchase compact fluorescents and energy conserving appliances,
and make efforts to decrease energy waste.
We strive to prepare foods with ingredients that are
chemical and additive free.
We join green hotels associations to contribute ideas and
efforts to improve the industry's environmental consciousness.
We endeavor to provide a calm, positive and relaxed
atmosphere that is a joyful place to work and a joyful, peaceful
place to stay.
